Colleges in the USA Program Overview
The English Language Institute (ELI) at Wayne State University (WSU) offers intensive and non-intensive programs at various levels and start dates throughout the year. The intensive program consists of beginning through advanced instruction with beginning and intermediate classes focused on teaching communicative skills; advanced classes emphasize academic skills, such as research paper writing and essay test-taking. A non-intensive program is also offered along with specialized classes and workshops in pronunciation improvement, vocabulary improvement, reading enhancement, business and technical writing, and English for Special Purposes. The ELI also offers International Teaching Assistant (ITA) testing and training.
